Antique & Classic Restoration

Varnish and Refinishing

Our varnishing and refinishing work is done in a dustless varnish booth using only the highest quality stains and varnishes.

Cold Molded Bottoms

We specialize in the cold molding process or replacing boat bottoms. Our process comprises of installing three to five layers of 3mm and 4mm BS 1088 Marine Plywood which is used to form the bottom. During the disassembly process we fully inspect and clean the wood including the frames, chines, gripe and stem, and recommend replacement if needed to a component in need of replacement.

The new bottom cold molded shells are bedded in 3M 5200. After attaching with new fasteners, the bottom is sealed, primed, painted and ready to go, no soaking needed.

Soak Test

We soak test every bottom before delivery to the customer to assure the boat is ready for use.

This test looks for possible leaks along the shaft log, rudder post, water intake and other parts of the boat bottom.

Plank Replacement

Our restoration staff can handle any type of plank replacement needed on your boat. After replacing the exterior planking, special care is taken to make sure that the proper stain is used to make an exact match to your boat's original color
